HEIRLOOMS! DO YOU HAVE SPECIAL ONES IN YOUR LIFE?
According to writer Dee Brestin, “A Mentor is someone further down the road from you who is going where you want to go and who is willing to give you some light to help you get there.” How have the women in your life served as mentors or deposited heirlooms into your life, and how have they passed down to you their knowledge and love of Jesus?
On Monday, June 19, at 6:30 p.m., in the church social hall, the First United Methodist Women will welcome Kendra Collins and daughter, 12-year-old Karlee, as they present “Heirlooms – What The Women In My Life Have Given To Me”. Kendra and Karlee offer a program of music and interpretive dance to introduce Kendra’s special words about the importance of having Christian women as mentors in the lives of your women. The United Methodist Women of our church family WISH TO INVITE ALL WOMEN OF OUR CHURCH to come and bring your mothers, daughters, grandmothers, and other significant women in your lives to share this special evening of inspirations, food and fellowship with us. Please bring one of your favorite family heirlooms to display.
This will be the regularly scheduled UMW quarterly meeting. Refreshments will be served immediately after the program, followed by a short business session. Women, we look forward to seeing you there! If you have questions, please call Lynda Hall at 876-2792 or Polly Martin at 884-6911.
Club 55 Ice Cream Social

Bertha Martin Circle to Meet
The Bertha Martin Circle will have the last meeting of the year on June 12th at Holton’s Seafood Restaurant in Midway. If you wish you can meet in the church parking lot at 5:30 to carpool and the meeting will start at 6:00 at the restaurant.
Vision & Faith Circle to Meet
The Circle of Vision and Faith will be going out to dinner on Tuesday, June 13. We will be going to Holton’s Restaurant and will meet there at 7:00. If you need a ride please call Libby NeeSmith at 368-3947 or Pat Marks at 876-7172.
