Immediately following the Superbowl of Ultimate Frisbee there will be a Superbowl party at Adrianne Steffenhagan’s house. The party will last until 9:30 p.m. and transportation will be needed to and from the party. Directions to Adrianne’s house will be given out this Sunday at youth and at Bible study on Thursday.
During the last part of February our youth will participate in the 30 Hour Famine. The Famine exists to raise money and awareness for famine victims around the world while proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ. We participate in this opportunity to aid in the support of this purpose and we invite you to be a part in carrying out this goal. There are a couple of ways we ask that you do this, through a financial donation to World Vision and most importantly through your prayers. Donation sheets have been distributed to our youth and they are prepared to assist in the donation process. If you are interested in making a monetary donation please see anyone of our youth or youth leaders. In the days leading up to the Famine, donation booths will also be set up during our times together to allow for convenient opportunities for information to be given and for gift’s to be received. Each week there will be a prayer focus published in the newsletter directly related to the Famine. We invite you to join with us in a commitment to pray intentionally for that prayer focus. Not only will we be making a difference in the lives of people in a global sense, we will also be making a difference in our community through service projects during the Famine. Thank you for your support in advance.
