Answer me when I call you,
O my righteous God. Give me relief from distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer.

Do not pray for easy lives; pray to be stronger men! Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers, pray for powers equal to your tasks. Then the doing of your work shall be no miracle, but you shall be a miracle. Every day you shall wonder at yourself, at the richness of life which has come to you by the grace of God.

Prayer is a force as real as terrestrial gravity. As a physician, I have seen men after all therapy had failed, lifted out of disease and melancholy by the serene effort of prayer. Only in prayer do we achieve that complete and harmonious assembly of body, mind and spirit which gives the frail its unshakeable strength.

Prayer Ministry

Our "prayer verses" are found in Matthew 18:19-20. "And I tell you once more that if two of you on earth will agree in asking for anything, it will be granted to you by my Heavenly Father. For wherever two or three people come together in my name, I am there, right among them!"
Of course, this is a conditional prayer promise. First of all, you have to be in "agreement with God" for it to be operational in your life. The only way to be in "agreement with God" is to allow God to take care of the sin problem in our life. Secondly, we have to be in "agreement with our neighbors" harboring no ill feelings toward anyone. Remember, Paul teaches us to come to the Lord with all our petitions, or needs, in thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6,7) and God will give us back His peace "...which surpasses all understanding..." What a wonderful promise.
Prayer Requests can be submitted in several ways. In each worship service there are "prayer requests" forms available and the congregation prays over these needs. On Monday they are mailed to each "covenant team member". You may call the church office at 912-368-2200 or submit your request by email to “My Prayer Request”.
Be assured, each request is kept in complete confidence among team members. We respect your desire for confidence! If you prefer that your prayer request remain confidential and viewed only by the churches ministerial staff we request that you insert “ Confidential Prayer Request” in the subject heading of the mail. Thank you for visiting our "Prayer Ministry". If you would like to become a covenant team member, please let us know by calling the church office or e-mail.
